YOU CAN Biotechnology is the first company to pass the 90-day toxicological test of Antrodia cinnamomea strictly regulated by the Department of Health and Welfare of the Executive Yuan to prove its non-toxicity. The founders, Mr. Xu Mingde and Ms. Zhang Yuyan, are philanthropists and care about local students. They recently co-organized a New Year's Eve dinner with the Xinan Industrial and Commercial Association of Wuri District, Taichung City, and awarded the "You Quan Scholarship" that night. The award-winning students and their parents were invited to attend the lively dinner together.
Xu Mingde pointed out that they set up the "Youquan Scholarship" in the hope that students from local elementary and middle schools, high schools and colleges will study hard. As long as they rank in the top three in school academic performance or win national special talent gold, silver or bronze medals, they can apply for scholarships. A local student, Huang Baixiang from the Chinese Painting Group of the Department of Fine Arts at the National Normal University, was awarded the scholarship as the first in the country, setting a good example for the younger students who attended the event that day.
Lin Shujun, chairman of the Xinan Industrial and Commercial Association of Wuri District, Taichung City, expressed his gratitude to Youquan for his silent contribution to local students, and also admired their establishment of a 40,000-square-meter Antrodia cinnamomea ecological park in Taiwan, which contributed to local employment and people's health.
